Slim’s Quality Burger

Slim’s Quality Burger is a newly opened 1950’s American diner-inspired burger restaurant that offers delicious burgers, crisp hand-cut fries,and milkshakes made with simple quality ingredients. Slim’s Quality Burger prides itself on serving deliciously simple, tasty and artfully assembled menu items, made from only the highest quality, locally sourced ingredients. With patties that are all 100% angus beef, potatoes sliced fresh, by hand, and on ice cream churned every day on site.

The Challenges

Amped Digital was contacted by Slim’s Quality Burger to fit out their new stores across Australia with digital menu boards that seamlessly blend in with their contemporary-classic restaurant design and branding. The burger joint was looking for bright and impactful digital displays and CMS solutions that meet the restaurant chain’s need to easily update and manage their menu online. The burger chain also required animated graphics in their promotions and menu items to draw the customers’ attention. 

One of the main challenges of this project was to deliver and install digital menu boards in New South Wales where there are recurrent lockdowns due to the surge of positive covid-19 cases. Due to this, Amped Digital needed to work closely with Slim’s Quality Burger, their partners and contractors to work around building schedules and tight deadlines.

Our Solution

Amped Digital recommended LG’s UHD screens for Slim’s Quality Burger’s digital menu boards. The screens were installed in portrait orientation with Vogel’s rail mounts to seamlessly fit with the restaurants’ interior design. The 55-inch screens are 500nit. This high brightness screens allow the restaurant to showcase their burgers and fries in high definition with little to no glare. The screens are equipped with embedded SoC that runs with Signagelive CMS to enable the team at Slim’s Quality Burger to easily access and manage their menu and promotions online, anywhere. 

Amped Digital’s design team, and developed an eye-popping animation to attract customers and draw attention to the burger restaurant’s promotions. Amped Digital’s Sales and Relationship Manager, Benny Holden, who is based in Sydney, made it easy for Amped to work closely alongside Slim’s Quality Burger and all external parties involved with the project in the east coast. 

The Result

Slim’s Quality Burger started welcoming customers on the 20th of December 2021 in their Marrickville Metro store. The digital menu board’s sleek and practical design blends in with the store’s 1950’s Americana inspired look. The SOC embedded screens allow complex and vivid animated content to be displayed on the menu board. Slim’s Quality Burger’s Digital Menu Boards aid in driving sales by enticing customers with the restaurant’s product offerings. The digital screens also aided in speeding up the sales process and assists the staff in upselling their promotional items to customers. The Signangelive CMS allows the restaurant chain to easily and remotely update their screens as needed. 

The ease of menu changes and updates is seamless and easy with Amped. It’s surprising how switched on and available they are. Even with a 3 hour time difference, contacting someone for assistance is always easy.
